The Word of God

"For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."  Hebrews 4:12

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."
II Timothy 3:16

I am so thankful for the Word of God.  I am so thankful that God has preserved His Word so that we can have a guide today.

Are you spending time in the Word each day?

What good devotional books are you reading?

Let's be women of the WORD!

  1. I, too, am grateful for the Word of God as my guide! I'm studying Jonah right now with Priscilla Shirer. :)

  2. Two of my favorite encouraging Bible verses! Ones that I love to share with my grandchildren! I am studying through the book of Revelation with a favorite pastor and his verse by verse Bible studies as well as reading one of Randy Alcorn's latest devotionals on Christian pain and suffering. It's been awesome! Thanks for a lovely Word-Filled Wednesday visit.

  4. For years I stopped going to adult sunday school. Well, I am going again and its wonderful! Right now we are studying the Christian vocation... how we are called to serve in varies ways at various times in our lives. I also enjoy reading my bible and studying scripture on line at Bible Gateway.

  5. It's amazing to me when people say there is no guide book for life, or for parenting, etc. They just don't want to admit that it's the Word of God - the BIBLE! If people just started with the 10 commandments and obeyed them, think how different this world would be!
